# Lassare

> Lassare lets you control AI coding agents remotely from your phone. When Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini CLI, or any MCP-compatible agent needs a decision, it sends you a Slack message — you respond from anywhere, and the agent continues working.

## Supported Agents

Lassare works with any AI coding assistant that supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP):

- **Claude Code** — Anthropic's CLI coding agent
- **Cursor** — AI-powered code editor
- **Gemini CLI** — Google's command-line AI agent
- **Copilot** — GitHub Copilot in VS Code agent mode
- **Windsurf** — Codeium's AI IDE (untested, generic MCP config)
- **Continue** — open-source AI code assistant (untested, generic MCP config)
- **Aider** — terminal-based AI pair programming (untested, generic MCP config)

## How It Works

1. Add the Lassare MCP server to your agent's configuration (one-time setup)
2. Your agent hits a question — architecture decision, refactor approach, database change, permission request
3. Lassare sends it to your Slack as a notification
4. You read and reply from your phone, tablet, or any device with Slack
5. Your agent receives the answer and keeps working automatically

The agent never stops or times out waiting — it pauses cleanly until you respond.

## Common Questions

**How do I control Claude Code remotely?**
Install the Lassare MCP server. When Claude Code needs input, it calls the Lassare `ask` tool instead of prompting in the terminal. You get a Slack notification and respond from anywhere.

**Can I respond to Cursor from my phone?**
Yes. With Lassare configured as an MCP server in Cursor, any question the agent asks gets routed to Slack. You respond from your phone and Cursor continues.

**How do I monitor my AI coding agent while away from my desk?**
Lassare sends every agent question to Slack in real time. You see what the agent is working on, what decisions it needs, and you respond when ready.

**Does it work with Gemini CLI?**
Yes. Gemini CLI supports MCP servers. Add Lassare to your Gemini settings and questions arrive via Slack.

**What is human-in-the-loop (HITL) for AI coding?**
It means keeping a human in the decision loop while AI does the coding. Lassare makes this practical by routing agent questions to Slack, so you stay in control without being stuck at your desk.

**How do I approve AI code changes remotely?**
Lassare provides an `approve` tool that sends yes/no approval requests to Slack. Your agent asks for permission, you tap Approve or Deny, and the agent proceeds accordingly.

**How is Lassare different from Claude Code's Remote Control?**
Remote Control is great — for Claude Code users with a Pro or Max plan who want full session mirroring through Anthropic's app. Lassare takes a different approach: it works with any MCP-compatible agent (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, Gemini CLI, and more), delivers questions to Slack where you already are, and focuses specifically on the decision points that block your agents. If you use more than one coding agent, Lassare gives you a single channel for all of them.

**What happens if I exceed my question limit?**
You'll get an email warning at 80% usage. At 100%, new questions are blocked until you upgrade or your monthly limit resets. Your agent receives an error so it knows to stop retrying.
